Megan Costello, an energy worker and yoga teacher, offers classes and works with private clients in the Seattle area. She began her exploration of the energy body seven years ago during her training as a massage therapist with the Institute of Conscious Bodywork in San Rafael, California. That same year she was initiated as a Reiki Practitioner and has since gone on to receive her Level II Reiki certification. Two years later she went on to deepen her studies of the energetic body at the Heartwood Institute in Northern California. There she completed her training in Polarity and Somatic Emotional Release and at that time was first introduced to Acutonics. She has been practicing Acutonics since 2006 and has completed all of her coursework through West Coast Acutonics in Concord, California. Megan offers an integrated approach to healing involving sound healing, hands on energy work and intuitive information. An ordained minister, Megan has come to work not only with individual clients but in group settings through workshops and yoga classes.
Megan has been a student of yoga for the last 10 years, and after many years of study, she began to realize the paralell paths of yoga and energy work and their similar goals of accessing the energetic body to create harmony and movement throughout the entire system. She completed a Yoga Alliance Certified yoga teacher training at 7 Centers Yoga Arts in 2008. The training included a multifaceted study of asana, pranayama, Ayurveda and meditation. She has continued her studies in yoga, completing a Pre/Postnatal Yoga Teacher Training with Anne Phyfe Palmer at 8 Limbs Yoga studios and has also had the privilege of studying with Rod Stryker, Shari Friedrichsen, Robert Svoboda and Scott Blossom.
She now offers yoga classes that bridge the gap between her healing work and her studies of yoga. She strives to find this balance in the yoga studio, through classes focused on the lunar and seasonal cycles and meditation and breathwork geared toward accessing the pranic (energy) body.
